Almost everyone you speak to wants to lose weight. The trouble is that some people don’t know why they are overweight. No matter how hard they try, they seem to fail at losing weight and KEEPING IT OFF.
The fact is, there are tons of ways to lose weight. But the ones in which you are starving yourself or filling your body with artificial chemicals instead of food DO NOT WORK. You may lose weight…but it will come back.
The reason is when you fill your body with chemicals you are slowing down your metabolism and destroying all the proper functioning that is supposed to go on in the body.
The body and all of its systems, by design, is a well oiled, self healing machine. When all is well with the body it will maintain a perfect weight and health.
When you feed your body artificial chemicals and processed foods you destroy the harmony and proper function among the many systems in your body (including your metabolism). This causes disfunction, inflammation (the breeding ground for disease) and weight gain.
Here are 5 ways guaranteed to help you lose weight and keep it off.
1. Eliminate all processed foods and only eat whole organic meats, vegetables, fruits and healthy fats. Your health is the most important thing in your life. Start acting like it and feed your body foods that will help your body heal itself and help spike your metabolism. Healthy fats like coconut oil, avocado and nuts along with fruits and vegetables will do the trick.
2. Eliminate Gluten from your diet. This one is a tough one for some people. But just try it for 30 days. This should not be looked at as a fad diet or some new craze. Gluten is actually not meant to be consumed by humans. We all have trouble digesting gluten whether we realize it or not. It can cause damaging inflammation, joint pain and many other ailments in the body even if you don’t have Celiac disease. If you are willing you will see amazing results and you’ll never want to eat it again.
3. Eliminate Dairy. Come on! It’s 30 days! You can do it. Dairy is an inflammatory and can cause more dysfunction in the body. Contrary to what we are told as children, we do not NEED anything which comes from dairy. The Milk you and I grew up with is nothing more than over-pasteurized, void of nutrients white water. You will look and feel better than you have in years.
4. Sleep 8 hours per night. Get to bed earlier (10:30 PM or earlier) and get some sleep. Those of you who have trouble sleeping may need some holistic tips on how to get a better night’s sleep such as using lavender essential oil.
5. Exercise. Finally! We all knew I would get to exercise eventually. Whether you work with a personal trainer or join an exercise class, get some proper instruction and begin an exercise program. You don’t have to go nuts and work out 7 days per week for 2 hours per day. In fact, some of the best workouts can be done in 10 mins or less!
